I wish...

I had something awesome to blog about... but I don't. :) Life is good, normal and good.

Thanksgiving is coming up, so I am trying to plan how that day will go. Then the Saturday after Thanksgiving my mom is coming to our house to cook here. How fun, I haven't had left overs since I got married and moved out of my moms house!

Two of my nieces have birthdays the day after Thanksgiving... Alicia will be 11 and Atlantis will be 9. I cannot believe how old they are! It was just yesterday that they were both babies!!!

Do you think I have maxed out on how many times I can say "Thanksgiving" in one post? Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving. Hehe, now I have.

Hope you all have a great week and I hope I have something fun to blog about soon!

People usually ask...

"How do you get all your kids to look at you and smile in pictures?"

Honestly? They fear me. Ha, I'm kidding, I'm kidding.... I honestly think its because I have had a camera in their face since they were born and have never accepted no for an answer. If we are doing something and I am trying to get a picture and they aren't cooperating, we stop. Thats rare these days, I usually just have to call their name, they look, see the camera, and smile.

I don't *usually* try and make them just sit there for pics, I try to make it something fun... and sometimes the 'something fun' is the photo shoot. :) I know some people bribe their kids with suckers, or promises of this or that, but thats just not how I roll. We have a very "you have to this because I am the mom and I said so" sort of household.

Anyway, my tips? Go to a park, during a happy time of day, let then pose, let them play, back and forth... And take LOTS of pics. You are bound to get one good one out of fifty or so. Good thing we are all digital now huh?

Halloween. Just another Jesus day.

But we get to dress up for candy. Fun, I know.

This year we headed out to Trunk or Treat. It was fun... the husband had to head back to work, so we only had about an hour. It was fun though! We rented a couple movies and had pizza, so it was an extra special night!

The kids.

And the candy.

Edited because I read Israel my post and he thinks I need to tell you who was what... So... Nicholas is Batman, Israel is Peter Pan, Ruthie is a butterfly, Esther is Sleeping Beauty and Mary is Snow White. :)

Photo shoot, surrogacy and string cheese.

Kodak Picture Gallery is having a promotion where they are giving away a bunch of $15 credits, so I got two. Screwing the system? No, I don't think so. :) Anyway, because of my almost expired credit things, I needed to make some Christmas cards. Which leads me to my point (I know, finally!)... I had a little quickie photo shoot with the kids before church this last Sunday. Some are cute, some are not... I did get a couple for Christmas cards, which was the goal, so I guess the shoot was a success. I am debating showing you guys since some of you will be getting the Christmas cards... Hmm. Maybe one. We'll see....

So, about the surrogacy. AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Yeah, if you want to know more, click the link.

Oh and I ate 5 STRING CHEESES today!! What is wrong with me?!?!?!

Sorry I dont have anything relevant to post. I am in surroland for the foreseeable future.

And since I am feeling charitable, here is a pic from the shoot:

The Rain.

I know a couple of people who cannot handle the cloudy, dreary days of winter. They need the sunshine to function. I am not like that at all. I would dare to say, I am opposite! I can barely function in the sunshine and heat of summer, but I thrive in the overcast, rainy days of fall and winter. I LOVE it!

Everything is clean and fresh.
Everything has a nice neutral color to it.
Everything is just perfect!!

Now that our first rainy day is upon us, I am thrilled!!! I will be unpacking more winter clothes today, seeing what fit the kids and what doesn't.... and finding my jacket! I was so cold yesterday!

My prayer is that everyone will enjoy the rainy day as much as I will!!!!

Are you my friend?

Then VOTE FOR ME. Between my online friends and my "real life" friends, I should have this in the bag!!

I entered a contest to attend a VIP Disney Media Event thingy. I had to submit a picture, then if my picture got chosen (which it did) I would need people, MY FRIENDS, to vote. THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN. :)

All you have to do is become a fan of The Glamorous Life Association on Facebook and comment on my picture. Entry #1... it looks like this:

And thats it!! If you want to "un-friend" them after, fine by me. You can also "hide" them in your feed if you don't want to see their posts. Its not like they are going to spam you.

I love Disney and this event happens just about a week before my anniversary... so I would really like to go! I am begging, groveling, etc. Become a fan and vote for me. :))))

Coordinating Halloween costumes.

I think I may have too many kids for that! LOL!

We were going to do Star Wars, the old and the new... but I just didn't have it in me to spend 100-150 on costumes this year. We did last year (and I only do when they can be resold on ebay), but this year, I was not interested.

Instead, we are working with what we have... Nicholas is going to be Batman again (he was Batman in 2007), Israel is going to be Peter Pan (it was in our garage, but I have no idea where it came from), Ruthie will be a butterfly (black clothes plus wings I have had but never used), Esther is going to be Sleeping Beauty (she got a Sleeping Beauty dress for her birthday) and Mary will be Snow White ($8 of ebay).

Anyway... I can't wait to take pics of them in their costumes. :)))
